Welcoming The Wax Apple for a Winter 2019 shop-in-shop residency.

The Wax Apple is a collection of handcrafted goods and everyday objects found throughout Taiwan, curated by Los Angeles-based designer Juliana Hung. This dedicated shop-in-shop celebrates: traditional Taiwanese theatre shoes; a collection of self-care items that include Taiwanese hinoki oils, palm massagers, and gua-sha tools; as well as clothing from Cheng Hui-Chung, who for over 30 years has been designing and making clothing for monks using plant based enzymes: “Colors express one’s mood”. All clothing pieces are 100% linen or cotton and intentionally un-branded–a testament to a purist point of view.
